Dual-Wield Fighting Penalties

These penalties apply to all dual-wielded (two-weapon) fighting situations.

Normal (standard weapons and no feats)-6-10
Off-hand weapon is light*-4-8
Character has the Ambidexterity feat-6-6
Character has the Two-Weapon Fighting-4-8
Off-hand weapon is light*, character has the Two-Weapon Fighting feat-2-6
Off-hand weapon is light, character has the Ambidexterity feat-4-4
Character has the Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting feats-4-4
Off-hand weapon is light*, character has the Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting feats-2-2

* A light weapon is one that is at least one size category small than your racial size. Refer to the Weapons Chart for information on weapon sizes.

** For a small race (Gnomes and Halfings), the weapons size drops one size due to the character's physical size so that the only weapons considered light for these races are those in the "tiny" category.
